Yeah I know its on BETA, but can someone clarify it? seems like we had a problem with it last night.
Someone was using Spiderman on Shotguns, and he wasn't able to web up to the top of the roof and walk around the sides.
He is easily viewable and shootable, but knife races would have a problem.
People told him to get off, which he did, but he wasnt agreeing to the rules.
He checked for the rules "!rules" and it wasnt in there.
What are the rules exactly for Spiderman? Seems like we have a misconsumption on it.

no race is allowed on the wall on the shotgun map... it is not the wall you are walking on, it is the edge of the skybox. when you are up there you can see there is no path for you to walk on, which means you are standing on the skybox. It has nothing to do with a knife race not being able to go there to kill you. you are standing in the sky with normal aim...skywalking. 7. No sky walking. Sky walking is defined by, being able to shoot with normal aim while "standing" in the sky, i.e. walking on air...
Oh, alright, I see. People were saying last night that Spiderman wasnt able to go on roofs or something like that. And I was saying that doesn't make any sense. Thanks, for clearing that up .
That makes much more sense then "being somewhere where knife races can't reach you is illegal", if that were the case, much more places on a lot more maps would be illegal.
Like i have said to wowbond ingame id like to state that we are good friends but he has to understand that he has been here long enough to know that being on the walls of shotgun are against the rules i dont know why he was asking me to find it in the rules when it has been a rule for quite some time now and their are a bunch of rules not in the rule book that are rules. so again just because a rule isnt in the rule book doesnt mean u can fuck around and say stupid shit like u did bro u are a veteran on this server and u know the rules for each map. you have been here long enough and their shouldnt be an excuse unless its something about a RACE (not about map rules) i aint hating on u wowbond ur a good friend dude but the shit you pulled on me when i told u it was a against the rules to be up their and you acted all snobby asking me "where is it in the rule book" pissed me off because you knew it was against the rules to begin with and just because an admin wasnt present doesnt mean you can do whatever you want.

I said that because the reason the person gave was "because being up there where knife races can not get you is against the rules". The reason stated was not "because it is skywalking". You know that I haven't been playing for a year and spiderman is a race that is still in beta. Understand that I'm questioning why it is against the rules. You don't go to jail for grand theft auto if you punched someone in the face, you go to jail for battery. I'm only asking that if you are going to say I'm breaking the rules, to give an intelligent answer as to what rule I'm breaking. (Don't tell me it is going to rain because your knee hurts, but because you checked the weather forecast)
EDIT: Also, Dog should be restricted on shotguns as well because of this skywalking issue, people get thrown up into the skybox and suddenly they are breaking the rules and have to come down. That hardly seems fair.

whats so hard about being thrown up their and going down? takes 2 seconds to get down from the skywalk edges.....also if u want to beat dog get on a race thats quick or with long jump and buy a immunity necklace and you can own the DOG that way the shotgun map is that small u can reach the dog in 2-3 seconds with a fast enough race....

i have heard several people give that as the reason... totally silly. there are so many maps where you can legally go places that a knife race cannot get to you. You will also hear people say "you have to get down if you are the last person and the other last person is a knife race" utter drivel, nonsence. people really need to read the rules before spouting off that they know them. another example is people saying you cannot meld if you are the last person... nowhere in the rules says you have to unmeld if you are the last person. However, if you are delaying the game, you can expect an admin to slay you. If you are melded at the hosties as a T, and are the last one, you are not holding up the game, the CT's need to rescue the hostages.....yet if you are a CT and melded, you would be holding up the game. This is not to say that you cannot be the last CT on your team and be in a gunfight and go into meld and come back out....but to sit there melded and not do your objective......thats when you're delaying.

Because getting down as a race with normal gravity will almost certainly kill them.
ALL races are unique theirs no such thing as a "normal" race so that excuse doesnt work....
the point is: no races are restricted on certain maps (WCS has an option for it but it does NOT work and never has). the rules with skywalking are clear and make intuitive sense. Dog is powerful but not THAT hard to kill with the right race (no worse than zombie imo). Spiderman is fine too, i hear many people complain about it when im on spiderman but i truly believe that most people will hardly touch it when it goes public. The evasion maybe needs to be nerfed to 75% instead of the 85% its at now...
