About Bad Company 2 for PC + Me!Posted:

Hey Guys,
As you know I said awhile back I was looking into Bad Company 2. As some of you know Dragon Rising Op4 was a complete failboat, glad I didn't buy it.
And as you all know Modern Warfare 2 is also a failboat (for MP anyways).
Sooo today I bring you Battlefield Bad Company 2. I have watched enough live gameplay of SP and MP to know this is the direct I am personally heading when I have free time to play. Why?
1. It won't require much admin maintenance. Simply pick some admins, to watch for hacking, or exploits and that's it.
2. I can go on whatever time (3 am if I have to) to play and enjoy myself. If I can only play for 15 minutes it won't matter because I don't have any work to do associated with it.
3. Opportunity to play with me again as I will take some time off work to enjoy it at first.
The next question is, would you guys want to be having our very own server from the birth of the game (24 or 32 slots)? This will guarantee us players to play with 24/7 as we will have one of the first servers out there. If the answer is yes, please post on here you would be willing to donate and how much you would be willing to donate... if the answer is yes, I need the payment February 15th or so.
I was very successful with a Battlefield 2 server for well over a year, up until the 1.3 came out that caused servers to start crashing every couple hours. Also fear not, the PC version will have full support and not be a crappy port.
Currently, I don not know if I will get the game just yet, but if I do, I will play on the server.
How much will the server cost anyways?
On CODMW2. Indeed, it is a big fail. Hackers all the time. Terribly lag. Just a shitty console port to PC. Even made the price as much as a xbox/ps3 game. Terrible.

Although SP was great But short =(
I was lucky I picked it up for $50.
Anyway, server will likely cost between $40-60
I played games like D2 and SC for 2-3 years. Then played BF2 for a little over a year and a half. Then played WoW for it's entire run up until lately. Then played CS:S and ran a server for a good 3 years.
I plan to be playing Bad Company 2 for at least a year... so long as there aren't any unforeseen problems. But in terms of gameplay it has the potential to keep me playing for years on end Lots of guns, lots of vehicles, lots of helicopters, very large maps, etc. Most importantly a stress free environment for me!
If I were to compare it to something it would be Battlefield 2 (gameplay, map sizes, large vehicle and weapon selection) + Bad Company 1 (which I never played but had basic environment destructibility -- which they upped a lot in this version) + Modern Warfare 1 (with achievements and stuff)
Would love to see people like Merlin, Cerberus, PeaceAlien, TeacherCreature, Earl, Josh, and many, many more try it (because I miss you all)... but I doubt you guys will give it a shot.

As a old BF2 pro player, see here: http://bf2s.com/player/57670662/ I might buy BC2, but PC games in Iceland cost $90-100 in stores, so I would have to buy it on steam.
I'll be getting this game if it shows resemblance to BF2. Loved the choppers/jets. i bought a joystick solely for this game. and boy does it work in jets.
Interesting Kosh Kosh, Id be willing to help out with whatever but I dont know if ill buy it YET, depends on what every one thinks of it. if its like MF2 Im sure ill get super bored of it xD but if enough people say its a good game ill try to scrounge some money for it. Looks Very interesting i should say and i have been on the server a little bit here and their... sometimes i had try talking to you koshy but you were off playing cod mw 2... Hope to talk to you more !!! \\nn// ROCK ON!!!!
I haven't seen any of you guys in soo long.. been playing MW2 for a bit and just can not take it any more the amount of hackers/exploiters is insane and even the terrible amount of glitches.. I got to the 5th prestige level 55 and am pretty much sick of the game.
I will be getting this and would love to join you Koshy! (and my other friends)
I played BF2 a few times i loved helicopters and tanks
but as for me I am stickign ot cs:s wcs
I dont have time for more games and I do love this one

Watch the demos and tell me it doesn't seem a lot like BF2 except EXTREME!!

I put FRAPS on my computer and plan to take some demos! I see no reason why it wouldn't keep you interested, and if you watch the demos, it is nothing like MW2 POS!

Just because it says im in MW2 doesn't mean I'm in MW2 I'm usually working or I am AFK. Message me and you may be surprised!
